  • A natural code-cracker. Strange symbols are her favorite puzzle.
  • Brave, bookish, and a tiny bit reckless when she has to know.

  • Food-motivated. Extremely.
  • Fearless in the silliest possible way.
  • Something about the ChronoStone seems to know him…

Dr. Daniel Carter: graying hair, salt-and-pepper beard, thick black glasses, charcoal shirt
The history professor

Daniel Carter

He teaches history at Harlow College, tells dad jokes, and can't resist a good "Did you know the Romans…?" Maggie gets her love of facts from him.

An ancient stone pedestal carved with glowing blue-green spirals, standing in a dark cave chamber

The mystery

The ChronoStone

Hidden in a sealed chamber behind the Carters' house stands a stone pedestal older than anyone can imagine. Its runes glow blue-green. Its crystal hums. And when you press the right symbols…

Who built it? Why was it hidden in Pennsylvania? And why are there glowing points all over its map of the Earth? The answers unfold across the whole saga.
